ISSUE HIGHLIGHTS

From AAJA-HQ: We remain committed to protecting and supporting journalists

While many media experts expect the new year  – and the return of the Trump administration – to spark increased hostility and threats toward journalists; AAJA plans to continue to be an unwavering source of support and community for our members. Please fill out the following form to tell us what kind of training you are most interested in. And remember, in addition to AAJA, you can also rely on the following resources: Journalist Safety Urgent Care helpline, Digital Safety Snacks, Online Harassment Field Manual, Online Violence Response Hub, CPJ's multilingual resources, and the Cybersecurity Toolkit.

Statement AAJA and AAJA-Los Angeles released a statement calling on iHeartMedia to take action against KFI-AM 640’s harmful pattern of promoting stereotypes against Korean and Chinese Americans. We urge media companies to take responsibility for actions that perpetuate harm against AAPI communities.
